Oriental vegetable marinade with iKi Beer

A tasty marinade made with iKi Bear. Ideal for a warm summer evening.

Ingredients

  • 330 ml Iki beer (green tea ginger or green tea yuzu)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 cm ginger, finely chopped
  • ½ red pepper, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp cane sugar
  • 3 tbsp shoyu
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (vegan alternative: tamari or ketjap)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chili oil or chili flakes

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

  2. Place the vegetables in the marinade for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. Grill or barbecue the vegetables until desired doneness is reached.

  4. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
